ScreenGuide Features

Here's a list of customizable options available in your ScreenGuide App account that assist you in effectively managing your child's device.

Time to manage this device

Here, you can see the schedule for when these features can be used.

Alerts and pending

If an error occurs, alerts will appear here for prompt attention. For example: You may receive an alert indicating the need to remove screen time.

Time-Out

The Time-Out feature helps you lock your child's device. Click through the step-by-step tutorial below that details how to configure this feature.

Restrictions

Here, specific restrictions are provided to allow you control over your child's device. Some restrictions have been set by the school administrator and cannot be disabled. For instance, in the screenshot below, you'll see that restrictions are enabled for certain apps.

Restrict Specific Apps

Hide Restricted Apps

You will have access to selected apps that will be hidden and inaccessible to your child. You will have the option to schedule access to these apps on specific days.

Show only Selected Apps

You will have access to selected apps, which will be visible and available for your child to use, with the option to schedule access on specific times and days.

Screen Time

When in Normal mode, you can set daily screen time limits for apps. The Advanced mode gives you the option to specify usage limits on selected days and designate certain apps as always accessible on those days.

Lock the device in one App

You can lock the device to a single app for a certain period or schedule specific days for this restriction.

Web Filter

This feature allows you to both allow and block websites on your child's device by entering the url of the site.

Remove password

This feature allows you to remove the password from a locked device and allows you to reset the password as well.

Analytics

Here you can see various trends of your child's device like App analytics, the most frequently used app, device pattern and the duration of screen time. This screenshot displays an example of App analytics and Trends.
